LEAD - LJK Economic Growth & Development Dialogue, is a development think-tank working towards inclusive economic growth and development in the Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir. Established in 2019, following the reorganization of the UTs, LEAD began as a platform to promote business investments in the region. Over time, it expanded its vision to address broader economic growth and development challenges, fostering an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship, innovation, and community-led progress.

We believe that development is a collective process that thrives on collaboration, trust, and inclusivity and that true progress is achieved when society as a whole takes ownership of its transformation, generating solutions that are rooted in local context, yet globally inspired. LEAD serves as a dynamic forum for constructive dialogue, bringing together policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and community leaders to drive impactful change. By bridging gaps, mobilizing resources, and creating sustainable opportunities, LEAD is shaping the future of Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir.

Aims & Objectives

  • Facilitate and develop relationships between the investor community and other local stakeholders
  • Promote understanding and co-operation between the Government(s) and the business community and public at large to promote entrepreneurship industrial development and overall prosperity of the region
  • Engagement with various institutions and organizations with an objective to promote innovation, capacity building and enterprise development
  • Advising the policy makers on formulation of investment promotion strategies and simplifying regulatory environment
  • Developing strategic market intelligence on various sectors in the region Promoting networks of various investment support professionals and trade associations
